You may be wondering why I chose to name my blog Woodnotes. You might not even know what the word means (I didn’t up until a few days ago).
I discovered the word Woodnote to have the meaning of “the sound of a forest bird or animal” and I fell in love with that. One of my favorite things is waking up to the sound of birds in the morning. But not just that, I love observing the sounds of birds and nature in general because of how unique and beautiful it is.
I love seeing how majestic a bird truly is as it flies through the sky. It is just a glimpse of how wondrous nature can be. I am brought to remember how beautiful the world is around me and how critical it is to slow down and notice it.
How often do we forget just how delicate, intricate, and calming nature is. The sound of tree leaves in the wind, the songs of birds communicating and singing, or the rushing water of a river. It is all beautiful and such a perfect reminder of how great our God is and how his majestic creations surround us daily.
